Interesting. Last time I took this test I scored as a Democrat. I was... 55% Socially Liberal and 21% Economically.
When I was reading my results it took me a long time to figure out what context they mean liberal in, even though I knew that I obviously am not a laissez-faire person... I don't know. I should probably do some homework now...

Sometimes when I read Out of Many, I'm just like "Jeez, usually I agree with your liberal rhetoric, but can you get off your pedestal for a second and just tell me what happened?" For example, "These were the first steps to the creation of an American national political community. Communities are not only local, but also regional, national, even international. In a town or village, the feeling of association comes from daily, face-to-face contact, but for larger groups, those connections must be deliberately constructed." Okay, but WHAT HAPPENED at the First Continental Congress?!

Though, I'll concede that quote isn't so much rhetoric-laden as it is pointless and useless and giving-me-no-worthwile-information-y.

Then again... anyone want to clarify what the study of linguistics actually encopasses? Oh maaan, the tie breaker was impossible. Which is more accurate?
